Barbara Allen is a dedicated advocate for accessibility and an active contributor to the arts in Chemainus. Since moving to the area in 2017, she has been involved with CVCAS as a board member and Chair of the Accessibility Committee.
Barbara also serves on the Accessibility Advisory Committee for the Municipality of North Cowichan, where she works to ensure public spaces, programs, and services are accessible and inclusive. Her personal experiences overcoming challenges after a life-changing car accident 30 years ago have given her a unique perspective and drive to create meaningful change.
Barbara’s creative problem-solving and practical approach are highly valued by CVCAS. An artist herself, she practices Saori weaving, a free-form style that emphasizes personal expression. Barbara’s contributions to accessibility and the arts help make Chemainus a more inclusive and inspiring community.
